How you can help

ZAP needs more funds – please help us to help the rural community we have come to know so well! With our first-hand experience of its needs, and our close fellowship with the villagers themselves – constantly renewed and deepened by our frequent visits – we feel absolutely confident that all the money we receive is spent in areas which can be of maximum possible benefit.

We have now set up many diverse and sustainable projects to give the people real concrete opportunities to improve their lives. They are an enthusiastic and resilient community and they have come to trust ZAP to fulfil the promises we have made – above all, to sustain our help and to see all the projects through to completion.

All the ‘building blocks’ for further increasing these opportunities are firmly in place – but we need to buy more drugs, medical and educational equipment. We need to send more teachers to University to be properly qualified; we want to remunerate Nursery School teachers (average monthly wage £2.50), train nurses, support the disabled, sponsor volunteer teachers and medics from the UK – all these tasks are easily achievable now, if only we had the funds for implement them.

If you think you can help us – please do! A little money goes a tremendously long way in Zanzibar and if you feel able to donate regularly, please download our Regular Form. Your gift, however small, will be very welcome; please download a Gift Aid Form to make a one-off payment.

You can be quite sure that your contribution will make a real difference, and that over 80% of our funds (through hands-on administration) are channelled directly to our chosen targets. Look at our Case Statement to see illustrated proof of this.
