New Dental Clinic finally opens

Following the January field trip when Janie, Rosey and Andrew took out a large quantity of equipment, the dental clinic is now fully operational and treating patients every Tuesday. The dentist's time and travel are funded by the Government, made possible due to ZAP's special long-term relationship with Mohammed Jiddawi at the Ministry of Health.

In recognition of the kind sponsorship of ZAP supporter Mark Blomfield, the dentist's room has been named after him, and a sign has been installed to show our thanks.

Mr Pandu has sent many photographs of the new clinic in action, though the first ones were not for the squeamish - we have since installed a new sink and better disposal system than the various buckets that were in use initially! Do visit our Photo Gallery for a further selection of pictures.

The new dental facility is a real success story for ZAP and the village, and we are delighted to have been instrumental in making the Jambiani Clinic by far the best equipped in the area.
